ATLANTA – Now Georgia’s attention turns to…
Actually, you know what? Forget about what’s next.
A 30-24 upset victory over in-state rival Georgia Tech should consume the moment, this week, the holidays and the year to come.
Far too often people reach for what happens next, or what this win means or go to great lengths in search of context or discuss what could have been.

“I run this state.”
The phrase was inscribed on both Georgia tailbacks Saturday night – on Washaun Ealey’s eye black and Caleb King’s arm.
And in the Bulldogs’ 30-24 win over Georgia Tech, they did just that, combining for 349 yards.
The two backs didn’t just rush the ball.

For Georgia’s 23 seniors, losing to Kentucky in their final game in Sanford Stadium was not the plan. Not before the game, and especially not at halftime, after the Bulldogs spent the opening half dominating both sides of the ball. But four Georgia turnovers and 28 Kentucky points changed the way those seniors will remember their last game forever.

Trying not to read too much into a given statistic is hard for a sports fan.
But Georgia is undefeated this season in night games- 4-0 -presenting the question: What is it about the darkness that brings out the best in the Bulldogs?
“I haven’t thought about it and I’m not going to think about it because I’m not going to jinx it,” cornerback Brandon Boykin said jokingly.

And some people think they’ve participated in an exciting one-night adventure.
Imagine piling into a car with Georgia players Joe Cox, Michael Moore, and Knowshon Moreno, among others, and heading to Atlanta for a night.
The group left on a whim last year and ended with a memory for life.

The collective gasp heard around Sanford Stadium at the beginning of the second quarter against Auburn was alarming and warranted.
Georgia receiver A.J. Green was hurt, and seriously.
But on the next play, rarely-used receiver Israel Troupe, inserted for Green, hauled in a 50-yard touchdown pass.
