Join local zombies downtown Saturday night for a post-mortem invasion of Athens’ bars in the first Zombie Pub Crawl.

It is an event that has been on the drawing board since April, said the event’s manager Charles Richards, a senior horticulture major from Lawrenceville.

Renaming proposed for East Campus buildings

The Student Learning Center may not be the only University building taking on a new name this year. Tuesday, the Board of Regents discussed renaming two buildings on East Campus – a dormitory and the East Campus Commons Dining Hall.

If the proposals are passed, the dormitory would change from Building 1514 to S.

Sororities see increase in recruits

A new class of University Greeks will emerge today – Bid Day – after a week-long recruitment process that saw a bump in participants this year.

“Last year, Greek Life had 1,265 women participating, and this year [they] have 1,318,” said Claudia Shamp, associate dean for Greek Life.

WUOG looks for new DJs, open meeting tonight

It is harvest time, says WUOG 90.5 as it opens its doors at its annual open meeting tonight in the Tate Reception Hall.

WUOG is an all-volunteer, student-run, non-profit radio station at the University.

Speaker focuses on health, politics

Environmental pollution and breast cancer may be linked, according to recent studies. The governmental action that is necessary to protect the average woman is lacking, said Kelly Happe. Happe will speak about the politics of women’s health as a part of the Institute for Women’s Studies’ Friday Speaker Series today at the Student Learning Center.
