Sometimes, it’s OK to be a holiday scrooge

The holidays are back and with them come the stresses of finals, family and worst of all – buying gifts. I, like some college students, do not have enough time outside of class for a job. I know what it means to be strapped for cash. I know quite a few students who are constantly broke, even with jobs.

Oasis system is anything but an oasis

Let’s face it, UGA needs a new Web-based system for students to handle their personal information and course loads. It’s time for Oasis to bow out. I admit I am biased – I change my computer’s OS every six months when a new version of Ubuntu Linux comes out.
