Sports journalists must travel thousands of miles and cover multiple games per day. One of the leading sports journalists in the country is University alumnus Mark Schlabach, who now works for ESPN.
Men’s water polo improves

The University men’s water polo team is nearing the end of what has been its best season ever.
The team completed its first regular season in the Collegiate Water Polo Association during the fall semester. Although it has only posted a 3-5 record, the team was encouraged by its ability to compete against some of the best teams in the country.
Experience great for former walk-on

While only playing in six games over a two-year span and scoring a total of two points, one former walk-on men’s basketball player has become one of the team’s biggest fans. Sam Greavu, of Gainesville, came to the University in the fall of 2004 looking to earn a spot on the men’s basketball team.
