Former Bulldogs drafted later than most expected

Four former Bulldogs were drafted over the weekend in this year’s NFL Draft – yet it’s the Bulldogs of the future that have NFL scouts’ attention. Quentin Moses was the first Georgia player drafted over the weekend. The Oakland Raiders selected him with the first pick in the third round.

My odds of winning a press pass to Monday’s NCAA national championship game were about one in a hundred. The experience I had after being fortunate enough to win was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

As I sat courtside and watched the Florida Gators dismantle another opponent for one more national title, something occurred to me.

Sports writers discuss Internet

Some of the best sports writers in the country were on campus Thursday morning as part of a panel discussion sponsored by U.S. Basketball Writers Association in conjunction with the Final Four being held in Atlanta this weekend.

The panel of distinguished journalists included two Georgia graduates, Mark Schlabach from ESPN.
