I am nearing the finish of my college career. It’s the bottom of the ninth with two outs.
I don’t have a lot of chances left to savor the finer aspects of the University and Athens – Downtown, on-campus attractions and of course, the sports scene.
I have had the privilege throughout the past four years to witness some awesome sports moments.

I grew up outside of Chicago, which is a pretty big sports town in my mind. I lived there during the Bulls’ dynasty of the mid ’90s and saw some pretty passionate and rabid fans.

However, I will never, especially in collegiate athletics, boo a member of my own team. The past few football games have been a struggle for both fans and [...]

I have this friend who I studied abroad with. Let’s just call him Joe. It seemed that every night, Joe’s evening would end in the computer lab of our college. Here, Joe spent hours, usually in an intoxicated state, doing one of a few things _” sleeping, eating or Facebooking. Joe represents just one of [...]
Prejudices close doors to experiences

When I was a child, my parents always told me never to judge a book by its cover. Even though I never conciously avoided things or held actual biases in my mind, I was just as guilty as everyone else when it comes to the preconceived notion. In my life, I have held preconceived notions [...]
