Located overlooking one of Athens’ busy streets is the new restaurant La Dolce Vita. The new addition is in the space above the bar and grill Between the Hedges in the spot that used to be occupied by Gandolfo’s Deli New York Delicatessen. This quaint Italian bistro has just opened its doors and is ready for the people of Athens to try its delicious and authentic cuisine.
‘Tavern’ solid, casual pizza place

After a hiatus from Athens, our return was filled with many new restaurants. One in particular, called The Tavern at the Arch, caught our eye and we figured it would be a good place to begin our assessment. It’s located at 259 E. Broad St. – better known as the former Mellow Mushroom spot – and also has a location in Five Points.
