For much of the season, Georgia coach Suzanne Yoculan has expressed her belief that a team from the Southeastern Conference will take home the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics title.
And her fellow conference teams have made her look pretty smart thus far, as the SEC leads all leagues with five teams competing in this week’s NCAA Championships.

For most of the evening, it looked as if the No. 5 Georgia baseball team was going to have yet another midweek non-conference contest go down to the wire. But thanks to a big four-run seventh inning, the Diamond Dogs were in control during the late innings of a 6-2 victory over Kennesaw State (21-21) at Foley Field Tuesday.

Red tops Black in low scoring scrimmage

Michael Moore hauled in a pair of first-half touchdown receptions to lead the Red team to a 17-3 victory in the Georgia football team’s annual G-Day scrimmage Saturday at Sanford Stadium.
Moore, a junior wide receiver from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., was far and away the most productive offensive performer in the rain-soaked affair, which marked the official end to Georgia’s 2008 spring practice.
Moreno leads tailbacks sans seasoned backup

For the first time in several years, there is no question who sits atop the Georgia football team’s tailback rotation.
That would be Knowshon Moreno, the redshirt sophomore who went off for more than 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns as a freshman last season.

Like each of the four games the team won in the SEC Tournament to get to this point, the Bulldogs jumped ahead early and sustained a big run by their opponent.
