Dear Mike: where’d you go wrong?

Dear Michael Vick, I have to say, I am outraged. You are a disgusting excuse for a human being and I hope you spend the rest of your life in prison for what you’ve done. You are inhumane and I may never forgive you for this. Because of what you’ve done, all of my hopes and dreams are crushed.

Senioritis is a magnificent thing. You work hard for three years and then completely mail it in for the final one because it’s so close to being done. According to Wikipedia, it is “typically said to include slowness, procrastination, apathy regarding (school) work and a tendency toward truancy.

Think about this: You wake up from your Creswell dorm extra early so you can grab some coffee. It’s an average April day except you’ve decided to get up a little earlier than usual.

You go about your day as usual, attend a class, catch some lunch, contemplate going to your biology class on South Campus.

According to the April 4 Red & Black, numerous members of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority entered Chi Phi territory by peeing on a University bus into cups and bottles and tossing the pee out of windows to and from their formal in Greensboro.

This, of course, was allegedly in addition to the out-of-control vomiting and boozing.

Random thoughts while waiting on Anna Nicole’s resurrection as foretold by the prophecies in the Book of Hefner…

Judging by the picture that ran in the Feb. 20 paper, Mike “Big Dawg” Woods has a sponsor. Aaron’s isn’t a chic new brand of overalls, it’s a company that appears to be paying him to do, uhh, whatever it is he does.

It’s 2007. I’m not kidding. It’s been 5.5 years since Sept. 11, 2001, 40 years since Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band came out and 2007 years since Jesus Christ was born. Maybe it feels like 2007 to you, but me? It feels like the future. Not like year 3473 spaceman future, but more along the lines of October 2008.

2006 Music Awards – Georgia Football Style

The 2006 Georgia Bulldogs football team. The 2006 music scene. Not exactly twin sisters, are they? Be that as it may, it is very difficult to share your opinion about an area as broad as the music scene when you haven’t experienced every part of it, and when addressing a readership that has only experienced bits and pieces of it.

I really want to write about everything Rachel said, but I can’t stop laughing at the expression “swinging bachelorette.” I’m not saying Rachel is one (I’m sure she’s not), but if that expression isn't synonymous with “slut” I don’t know what is. OK, deep breath, here goes – I think your problems are representative of [...]

Booing just constructive criticism

I cannot recall an instance in which I have booed my own team. I’ve liked some pretty crummy teams, but I can’t think of when I actually booed them. I should have done it and will undoubtedly do it in the future, but I never actually have booed anyone playing for a team I was [...]

Don’t be a narcissist, bow to Paul

Paul Rehm can’t understand what all the fuss is about. Paul doesn’t think people are becoming too narcissistic. Paul considers himself a good example of this. Paul is completely humble. Paul Rehm thinks that if anything, the University students (i.e. those beneath him) are becoming less self-involved. Paul thinks that once they see him, they [...]
