Student cocaine charges linger

Two University students arrested in November and charged with felony possession of cocaine received sanctions from the University’s Office of Judicial Programs, but Athens-Clarke County courts have not yet ruled on the case. Police arrested Timothy Sanders Wallis, 22, and Julianne Robbins Tamplin, 22, after midnight Nov.

NAACP, Ritz resolve incident

The University’s chapter of the NAACP resolved an incident involving The Ritz after the nightclub’s owner issued an apology, according to a Facebook message sent Saturday afternoon to NAACP members.

In August 2007, several black University students were denied admission to the nightclub on Broad Street.
