With the nearly two-year presidential campaign coming to an end today, students expressed mixed feelings about the process.

Philippa Ighodaro, a sophomore from Lawrenceville, said she decided she sides more with the Democratic Party.

“This year I found which party I would identify with better,” she said.

MCG in Athens selects dean

The University has appointed the dean of the new Medical College of Georgia/University of Georgia Medical Partnership Campus in Athens.

Barbara L. Schuster, a former Wright State University professor, will begin her term Nov. 1 and lead the program in part to address the shortage of physicians in Georgia.

Study: Students comfortable expressing opinions

Some students on campus feel they can express their opinions freely. Other students say they can’t.

A recent survey was conducted by the Board of Regents in which 1,200 students at 33 university campuses in Georgia participated via e-mail about whether their views on subjects such as religion and politics are respected in classrooms.
