Long live the Reformed Church of Kris Kringle! In response to Adreana Rickett’s letter, I am brought close to tears due to her blatant and merciless intolerance toward my church. My congregants and I, of the Reformed Church of Kringle, have been desperately attempting to spread the gospel of the Great White Beard, colloquially known as Santa Claus.

Meaning of Christmas in Christ, not in Santa Claus In response to Megan Otto’s article “The commercialized culture of Christmas,” I have a few things to say. I do not know Megan’s religious background and this is not intended to be a preachy response to an eye-opening article, but Megan’s response to the commercialization of Christmas was very troubling.

Words of encouragement for departed football coach Dear Mr. [Willie] Martinez, While many of my friends and peers seem to be reveling in your dismissal, I offer you words of encouragement. Column about military ‘wrong,’ ‘downright insulting’ While the Red and Black has published its fair share of material that has rubbed me the wrong way since I arrived at UGA in 2005, I found Caitlin Byrnes’ opinion piece in Wednesday’s edition to be one of the most patronizing and condescending that I have had the misfortune of reading.

Senators say SGA serves its students

In response to Josh Weiss’s column, “Student Government is Ineffective,” we wish to analyze the effectiveness of this organization from an insider’s perspective. Both of us have been involved in SGA since our freshman year and have seen administrations come and go, and we can honestly say that this organization has evolved over the past few years.

I read the article on singer-songwriter Wesley Cook and wanted to comment that Cook stands out in a town full of musicians. The reason is because he is someone who is truly saying something. There are some true artists that pass through and come out of Athens, and Wesley is one of them.
